Marin County Fire resources responded into the Oakland Hills on mutual aid, working for over four days. Full story coming soon.
Oakland FD Battalion Chief Neil Honeycutt was one of the Incident Commanders during the early hours of the fire. He is pictured here in the training room at Skywalker Ranch, giving a post-fire presentation about the massive conflagration for the Marin/Sonoma Fire Training Officers Association. Neil also served as an instructor in the College of Marin Fire Science program in the 1980's. He was a great friend to the Marin County Fire Service, and sadly passed away in 2008 from a job-related cancer. Rest in peace. Photo by Tom Forster.
