The Steamer Sausalito Burns up with dock off San Quentin; February 28, 1884

"Our fireboys, with 400 feet of hose..." refers to the San Rafael Volunteer FD. The steamer was 220 feet long, and weighed 692 gross tons. It may have been spelled Saucelito, as was common at the time, but this is not clear in the records.
